Bangladesh A drew the four-day match series after winning the second match. — PCB 

Bangladesh A defeated Pakistan Shaheens by five wickets on the last day of their second four-day match on Monday in Darwin.

The two-match four-day series ended 1-1 after Bangladesh’s impressive performance in the second match.

Bangladesh set a 296-run target for the Shaheens after they were bowled out for 216 runs in their second innings courtesy of Mohammad Ali’s six-fer and Khurram Shehzad's three wickets.

Chasing the target, the Shaheens started with a strong display as Sahibzada Farhan and Haseebullah as formed a 96-run partnership.

Farhan played a rapid innings, scoring 68 runs with ten fours and two sixes on just 70 balls. However, following the departure of the skipper, the next two batters, Kamran Ghulam and Umar Amin were removed for ducks while Irfan Khan posted 15 runs before losing his wicket.

The Shaheens resumed their innings on day four with Haseebullah (44) and Tayyab Tahir (4) on the pitch.

Haseebullah lost his wicket after posting 51 runs on 120 balls. Tahir (43 off 97) and Omair Bin Yousuf (45 off 103) provided a breakthrough but their innings ended too and the Shaheens started to lose wickets rapidly and they were soon 230-7.

Mohammad Ali and Khurram Shehzad added 57 runs as the Shaheens came close to victory but the former was dismissed by Mahmudul Hasan.

Hasan Joy struck again, taking out Shehzad, who contributed 28 off 57 deliveries with four boundaries.

Pakistan needed just six runs to win, Hasan Murad picked up the final wicket of Faisal Akram, who walked back to the pavilion after scoring just one run.
